On August 6-10th, Unnatural Forces attended WorldCon 2008 (aka Denvention 3) in Denver, Colorado. Both RavynEdge and The Lycan Knight had artwork displayed in the Art Gallery and Print Shop. Plus we had tables 304 and 305 in the Dealers Room which was located in the Denver Convention Center's Exhibit Hall D.
We were quite shocked at the 3600 person attendance since we were told that WorldCon was the largest science fiction convention in the world. Our expectations were more along the lines of the packed crowds we saw at Dragon*Con, but Denvention fell short by about 25,000 people. The Denver Convention Center is huge and could have easily held the entire event. However, for some reason much of the programming was located 5 blocks away in the Sheraton Hotel!
Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves. The Masquerade in particular was a night of frivolity. The Lycan Knight won Best Workmanship in the Novice division with his War Machine costume. Find photos of his finished costume HERE.
